Onyx and Jets Procedure

Has anyone seen either the movie "Up" or "Despicable Me?" They are animated films and I suggest giving the movies a chance if you haven't seen them yet. If you have seen either then you will know about the box of shame or the cone of shame. My families two kittens have just gotten spayed/neutered. The female, Jet, now has to wear the cone of shame for one week to prevent her from biting at her incisions. The cone displeases her. We have been calling her cone-head or funnel-head lately. Some may consider it animal cruelty to make fun of an animal for having to wear a cone. :)  Onyx, the male kitten, is his normal self despite his mini-surgery. 

Onyx is still as curious as he always has been.

Jet doesn't like the cone of shame.

A Slice of Life, a Slice of Pizza!

I am not a very good cook. I know how to follow recipes though! :) My most recent creation was for Valentines Day. I made several heart-shaped pretzels. Last year, I made a heart-shaped pizza and hand-cut some heart-shaped pepperoni. They didn't come out looking as good as they do from a pizzeria or a pretzel-stand but you can bet that they tasted better knowing that I made them myself!

My portion of slice of life pertains to chocolate. I can't imagine life without it. And it is true, you can't predict or even envision how your life will turn out. If it were not for chocolate, life would be a sadder and less satisfying place!

A Slice of Life

We have chosen "Slice of Life" as our Blog Title.

To give you an idea of what this blog is about, the definition of Slice of Life is the realistic description or representation of events and situations in our everyday lives.

We are a group of four with different backgrounds and different interests but through this blog, hopefully we can find out what we all have in common simply by writing about all the little parts of our lives that mean a lot to us.

Three times a day, everyday I have to feed my newest cow, Zuze. He can can be a pain but he is always happy to see me. :D
